What is the difference between advice and advise?

This is one of the most common mistakes we make in our daily life.

Advice is a noun which means means guidance. The word is used more frequently than advise. When you approach some one to get his view ,you ask him for his advice. But when you are giving someone a recommendation, you are still giving advice. But you are also advising.

Example: I would like to get an expert advice from Mr. Clinton

Advise is a verb that means to recommend or to offer guidance.

The word advise is used less often, but it still has its place, especially in the world of business. You might say, "please advise me on how you would like to proceed" or "I would advise you to start saving your money."

Example: Mr Clinton was asked to advise (verb) the government on Defence related Issues.
