We know "Wi-Fi"; but what is "Bi-Fi" ?

“Bi-Fi”  or "Biological Internet" is a term coined by bioengineers of Stanford University to refer to   a biological mechanism  to send genetic messages from cell to cell.

Scientists from the University developed a mechanism  which acts like a wireless Internet connection that enables cells to communicate in a cellular network and nicknamed it  "Biological Internet" or  “Bi-Fi”.

Interestingly “Bi-Fi” is neither an abbreviation nor acronym. It is a term derived from "Wi-Fi" which is one of the most known terms in ICE ( Information, Communication and Entertainment) related technology. "Wi-Fi" is the abbreviation of Wireless Fidelity and refers to a local area network that uses high frequently radio signals to transmit and receive date over smaller distances.
