How to improve your English Communication- 12 easy ways
The four basic skills of any language are Reading, Writing, Speaking and Listening. Mastering all these skills enable you to attain excellent communication skills in that language. The same rules are applicable to English language also. Here are a few tips to improve your English communication.
1.
You must overcome fear or shyness in speaking
the language
2.
You must avoid interference of mother tongue
while speaking. Avoid direct translation of English to mother tongue and vice
versa
3.
Watch English Channels especially international
news channels like BBC, CNN etc. on a regular basis.
4.
Read English fictional and nonfictional books.
5.
Read English periodicals regularly.
6.
Learn the meaning of at least 2-3 words a day.
7.
Do not hesitate to refer a standard Dictionary
as and when required.
8.
Try to use the words you learn t in daily
conversations.
9.
You
should develop the skill to think in English instead of your mother tongue.
10.
Concentrate in learning correct pronunciation.
11.
Try to speak English wherever possible.
12.
Join public speaking club like Toastmasters
International to improve your speaking and listening skills in communication.
