I live in a building of six floors. Each floor has three flats. Our neighbour is Mr.Kapoor and family. They are new to our building. Mr.Kapoor’s son Ashok and I study in the same school. We didn’t know them at first. We also were hesitant to go and introduce ourselves. One day when we opened the door their dog came into our flat. Ashok came to pick the dog. We started talking and thus became friends. Slowly we started playing together and our families also came to know each other. Soon it was time for Diwali celebrations. Ashok’s father suggested celebrating Diwali together. Each family made one dish. Children performed skit, dances, songs etc. Wow! Diwali was so much fun with so much to eat. There was too much food left. So Mehta uncle, the eldest in our building, suggested that we must give the food to the poor children. It was a memorable day of joy and enjoyment. Thereafter we decided to celebrate all our festivals together. All thanks to our new neighbour Mr. Kapoor and family.
