Once upon a time there lived a lazy boy named Arun. He had a kind hearted and hard working sister named Shruti. Their parents were very poor, so they left the children in the orphanage when they were too young. They used to call the sister who took care of them as mother. Quiet a few years passed and they grew big.
One day the sister went to her native place as her mother broke her leg. That day Shruti asked Arun, “Don’t you remember that tomorrow is a special day for mom?”Arun asked, “What day Shruti?” “Its mother’s day” Shruti shouted with joy. “So what!!” asked Arun. “We have to do something for mom.” “Just leave it Shruti, mom’s not going to see whatever we do for her.” said Arun as he ran to watch T.V. “Come on” said Shruti. “Don’t be so lazy.” Shruti said as she walked into the store room to find some decorations. Shruti decorated the whole orphanage beautifully while Arun was watching T.V. Even the other children in the orphanage helped Shruti as they all liked sister Mareena, who was their mother or mom.
The next day all the orphans were happy to see their mom back. The orphans told her that the decorations were done by Shruti but Arun did not even bother to help his sister. Mom thanked Shruti, but looking at the others Shruti told that they also helped her especially Arun. Hearing this Arun felt sad and ashamed of his behaviour. He walked to Shruty and said "SORRY Shruti. Now I understand how much you love me. I will not repeat this mistake again". Both of them hugged each other and ran to wish Sister Mareena.
