So, we all have that one person, apart from our family who is reliable and understanding. And yes, that is our best friend. It is rightly said that “Best friends make bad times good and good times memorable.”
Friends do not judge us, but they accept us as we are. A good friend supports us in tough situations in life and helps us to get out of it. For this reason, our friends are reliable. Loyalty, compassion, altruism and understanding are the indispensable but also rare qualities, one must find in his/her best friend.
A friend is a person who makes our lives meaningful and without him/her, life seems to be lonesome. An individual who has a friend never feels lonely and always stays high-spirited, because he has is satisfied that there is someone who will support him to surmount all the hardships in life. When people do not have friends, they stay lonely and there is a risk that they may slip into depression, for the reason that their thoughts and feelings will be confined in their minds and they are likely to have angst.
Instead of criticizing us, our friends help us to prevail over our fears and shortcomings. True friends are the ones who celebrate our joys and on the contrary, they are also a shoulder to cry on for us, whenever we need them.
“A true friend accepts who you are, but also helps you to become who you should be.” Good friends are hard to find, but once found, they should be never lost.
