At the time of its birth,
Our planet was a scorching ball of fire.
Shooting sparks from its hottest depths,
It was a terrible, flaming rock.
Time passed and …SURPRISE!!!
There was life in the deep oceans!
But a terrible Ice Age attacked the earth,
And gave it a name-Snowball Earth.
The sun’s radiance troubled the earth
But the icicles melted and gave out oxygen.
Thus, life continued with large obstacles along its way;
And a glorious way out of each.
Soon, strange fish and monsters roamed the seas,
With curious plants growing on the land.
Not long after, mammoths and dinosaurs stomped around,
Crying out in high voices.
The dinosaurs soon went extinct and the early man,
Knowing his time, came out to be admired by the animals.
The men were clever and started working with tools of stone;
The Stone Age had come to life.
Nature went on improving man and they learned the secrets of agriculture,
One growing potatoes and the other tomatoes.
The men build cities and towns, towers and bridges;
All enormous and great.
The women looked after the children, the cattle and the food;
Doing their share of work, staying home.
The divisions of labour began – kings, paupers, farmers etc.
Our ancestors went on developing,
Until they became what we are today;
Life on Earth was once not true but now we can’t imagine the Earth without life.
