I still remember the first time I met my best friend. It was during a school book checking. Due to Covid, there were these rare occasions to meet our classmates. I moved to India 2 years back, joined the Little Daffodils School and ever since then, the only person who has been there with me from the beginning to the very end of this academic year is my best friend Praphoola.
Being a new kid is hard but, making new friends is even harder. But given my friendly character, that is I could meet a total stranger and talk about anything and be instant buddies, I thought this would be easy. The thing that puzzled me was how on earth was I going to make friends online? Luckily Praphoola was one of the few kids who texted me and tried to put up a conversation with me. She told me tons about the school, regarding the children here etc. She was like my guide to my new surroundings. But let me tell something about Pra (that’s what I call her) she was a total crazy head, dare devil and weirdo just like me. We clicked instantly. We exchanged our likes and dislikes, stories from when we were much younger via chat and calls. For a year and a half this went on. Finally offline classes restarted and we were so pumped to see and meet each other at last.
Praphoola has been a major part of my life. A best friend like her is one in a million. We can talk to each other about life stuff. Its very comforting. We could also do tons of naughty and daring stuff together like typical teenagers. In all of my 8 years of schooling I have never had a friend like her. She is the only one who understood me and my craziness. I thank God every single day for giving me my favorite person in the whole damn world. She is like my family. No matter what happens I’ll be there for her whenever she needs me just like she has been there for me by my side.
