The old-age proverb ‘actions speak louder than words’ is one that you may have heard many times before. Like most proverbs, it teaches us a lesson that can be implemented in our lives. But, have you ever wondered about the meaning of this proverb?
In our lives, we make thousands of promises. And many a time, we are unable to keep our word. It may not be our fault and all, but we should never go back on our word. When we break a promise, we can also break a person’s trust. So, no matter what, we should never make a promise unless we truly and really mean it.
This just reinforces the idea that actions speak louder than words. It doesn’t matter how much you talk and brag. None of the words matter unless you can actually do whatever you claim you are capable of.
Everyone knows to blurt out claims and make promises. But, very few can actually act on their words and make the scene they painted in everyone’s hearts come true.
None of the golden words that we say to convince others will mean anything at all if we don’t act upon them. That is why it is better to show our intentions through actions instead of words. We have to be a planner and a doer. If we only have a marvelous vision in our mind, that is not enough. We have to work and show everyone our dreams and stand out. But, if we keep it inside of us and never put it into action, all the planning will go to waste,
People only take notice of us when we do something. It is much better to move towards our dreams rather than just tell everyone about it. Only if we do it, will everyone see us for who we are and appreciate us. So, no matter what you do remember that actions are important.
Therefore, in the end, it is better to do stuff than sit idle and think of great things. After all, actions do speak louder than words.
