Respected dignitaries on stage, off the stage, teachers and my dear friends,
Good Morning to you all..
Yoga is considered to be one of the spiritual ways of purifying mind and keeping the body balanced and healthy. This mind-relieving exercise started its birth in the natural sands of Ancient India, propagating its unique significant aura towards the other parts of the world. Today in this Pandemic World, almost all the people around the globe practice yoga as a part of their daily routine. Yoga is the amalgamation of body, mind, and soul. It is affordable and beneficial. And yes, doing a simple yet a graceful asana of yoga everyday can do wonderful, mesmerizing miracles to your body rather than going to the gym or a fitness center to get an appealing physique.
Yoga is mainly classified as Raja Yoga, Hatha Yoga, Karma Yoga, Bhakti Yoga and Jnana Yoga. It is a perfect blend of 84 different poses/asanas. One of the common yoga exercises practiced by majority of the people is Surya namaskar or the Sun Salutation (better known as the Ultimate Pose). It consists of 12 poses and scientists and yoga masters suggest to do the Surya Namaskar in the morning. The solar plexus is a center point of our body behind the navel which can connect the rays of the sun. Doing Surya-Namaskar 4 times a day can increase your blood flow, enhance the metabolic activities in your body, strengthen the back muscles and thighs and also regulates the menstrual flow in women. It enhances the flexibility and grants you an impressive physique. Some of the basic Asanas of Yoga are Tadasana(Mountain Pose), Ardhachakrasana(Half Wheel Pose), Veerabhadrasana (warrior pose), Vrikshasana (Tree Pose), Trigonasana( Triangle pose) and Bhujangasana (Snake pose). Tadasana increases the flexibility of joints, ankles and knees making them appear more agile. It also regulates the posture. Ardhachakrasana can reduce the stomach fat and can enhance the spine. Veerabhadrasana can strengthen the back, calf, ankle and shoulders. Vrikshasana can enhance the neuromuscular coordination and can grant an impressive endurance in the different parts of our body. Trigonasana can strengthen the waist and backward region and it also up brings the flexibility of the vertebral column. Bhujangasana can stretches the abdominal region and enhances the movement of shoulders. So, it is clearly evident that the various yoga asanas can strengthen the different parts of the body enhancing the flexibility mobility and the strength of our body. It also helps us to cool down, concentrate in our work and make us optimistic and cheerful throughout the day. It helps you make healthier decisions, lowers your blood pressure and massages the abdominal organs.
An equally competent companion to yoga is meditation. Meditation is a simple, calming posture that is your close companion whenever you are in uncertain or unprecedented times and teaches us to cure what need not be endured and endure what cannot be cured. Meditation is a stress-reliever, mind rejuvenating exercise that helps you increase your tolerance and patience and reduces your pain and anxiety. It’s a miraculous catalyst that can make you walk an extra mile to relish your thoughts and enhance the natural creativity within yourself. It can improve your Emotional Quotient (EQ) and in fact EQ is responsible for 80% of your life’s success than Intelligent Quotient (IQ). It is your affordable anti-depression medicine that can relieve you from the clutches of depression and stress and in addition to this, it can also help you focus at the present which thereby increases your concentration and boosts your productivity. It improves the self-esteem and self-awareness within ourselves. It can make you appear benevolent, optimistic and broad-minded person.
A simple act of practicing Meditation and Yoga can enhance your routine. So, it's just easier to visualize and impregnate the magical wonders it can do to your body once you do it regularly every single day without any break. Dedicating to yoga and meditation will surely implant new plants of health and wellness in the society which it can be the epitome of longevity and growth.
