In a world where everything is a race, everything is nothing but  competition, everything is based on comparison as well as talent, and everyone is a competitor, the only way to get to the end of the race successfully is to work hard and excel. Now putting the present condition  into consideration, we can see a lot of people who work hard to achieve success. Unfortunately, but even more are the kind of people  known for only one thing- blindly hate   or negatively criticize whomever they see as a hard worker .

Today I am going to write on something that I wanted to write for a long time. I’ve always believed that a topic like this should have appropriate readers. In other words, readers who won’t mind recognizing themselves in the latter group- the haters. Gradually, I realized that all of us, at some point had blindly hated somebody or something and that there need not be any specific audience, because this is a general matter.

One thing we always fail to realize is the fact that  there is a tendency in the society to  hate people for  their achievement.  But there’s a hidden fact – We must realize that they’re at least doing something, while we aren’t. I’ve noticed that the people who receive the most amount of blind hate  or negative criticism are public figures, in other words, celebrities, from any field eg.actors, singers, etc. .The work that they do maybe liked by some and  hated by some. If you don’t like someone, avoid them. If you don’t like something, avoid it. Because even if we start blindly hating people, the negativity that we release comes back to us and as long as they remain positive, our negativity won’t affect them.

Now blind hate is a term that I’ve been using very frequently. I would like to tell you what it actually means. When you spread hate for no specific reason, just because you dislike something in a person, it is called blind hate. Now this is the type of opinion that should not be taken seriously.

There are some other kind of opinions as well. One is called ‘constructive criticism’. When we give feedback containing negatives and positives and when we give our opinions or  points of improvement for the person to do better, it is called a ‘constructive feedback’ or ‘constructive criticism’.

We should be able to differentiate between the two types of feedback. We can’t just consider everything that has negatives in it as hate and push it aside. Because when we do so, we are actually pushing aside points of improvement that can help us do better.

Social hate continues to be the reason why so many people, who have decided to pursue their dreams are demotivated. People decided to try out their beginner’s luck on platforms wherein so many people have the freedom to write without a second thought.

There is something we all really need to understand. We all are talented. We all can do something or the other. We all were born in this world without anything. When we go back as well, we carry nothing. The only thing that will be present with us is love. That will be the love we give and the love that we receive. Work hard, do good, love all, and hate none. Because these are the only things that will make you a good human being.

In a world where we can hug, kiss, smile, and spread love, why hate!! Always remember that when we give out negativity, the world will be a cruel place to live in. The choice is yours.

Discipline is a set of rules that governs a person’s behaviour. Discipline is a must to build a good character. It develops ,molds, strengthens and perfects the self confidence of a person. One can easily adapt to a disciplinary life, when introduced, at very early stage of life. Discipline is very important in the life of a student.

We children usually don’t like to follow rules. It feels too hard on us to follow even simple things like getting up early, bathing daily and being punctual. But, when not followed, it can create a lot of tension and confusions in our lives. At school, we are made to follow the school rules and are moulded in the perfect way to become law abiding citizens of tomorrow.

At times, we may be tempted to do something, for which we may feel guilty later. For moments like these we need strong will power and self control. Only discipline can give us that self control to tackle the situation. With it, we can do our work without laziness and temptation getting in our way. It can help us to be productive, even when we don’t feel like it. For example, we may be tempted to watch a movie instead of preparing a very important project. Self Control will help us get over it. Discipline leads us to success by doing right thing at right time in the right way.

Great leaders have lead disciplinary life to set examples for us. It’s Mohandas Karam Chand Gandhi’s self Control and strong will power that made him into Mahatma Gandhi. Gandhiji’s mother played a vital role in making him a disciplined man.  When Gandhiji was going to London for his higher education, his mother took a promise from him that he, at all times will lead a disciplined life. Following a self disciplined life Gandhiji is remembered as “Great soul” Mahatma or father of our nation.

Discipline helps us to stay motivated to complete our day today targets and assignments. It helps us to take correct decision and use time meaningfully in creative work. Self – discipline gives us a clear vision to accomplish our goals in life.

“HELP” is a very small word that has greater depths in it. Help can be small or big depending on the time it is been given or done. It always gives joy to help others. Help is something we may need at any time in our life. Parents help us to walk, talk and to know the world. Teachers help us to learn new things and to differentiate between good and bad. They guide us throughout our life. As we grow we should help each other in our needs that is why Mahatma Gandhi once said – The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others.

Joy of helping:
A friend in need is a friend in deed. In school days, if we have lost our pen and someone lends their pen. They will automatically become our good friend. Helping actually builds good relationships, be it in family or society. When someone helps us we feel happy, but when we help others the joy we feel is incomparable. We should help our parents in every small way that we can. Helping old people cross the road will get us heartfelt blessings from them. Helping someone can never bring us any harm. If we help someone today someone else might help us when we are in need. Helping one another is the basic essence of life.

If we see someone is hurt in an accident, it is our responsibility to help them. Spending few minutes of our time can save someone’s life. It can be a very small favour from our side, but for their critical situation that would be the greatest help. They would remember our help forever and they might too help others in future .It is like a chain of good deeds. No one can live alone, we live as community. Each one of us must help one another in our own little way to lead a happy and contented life.

Anne Frank In her famous diary wrote – No one has even become poor by Giving. Sometimes we see, even animals go against their nature and help other animals. We being humans have the utmost duty to have humanity and help all beings. It is by caring and helping that we can see the Almighty. We need to spread the joy of helping.

Success is defined as an achievement on something you’ve been trying to do. But success is not a piece of cake, it takes a lot of determination and hard work to achieve success.

When it comes to India a lot of people have achieved success with determination from a very young age. One of these are soldiers, they are men of steel, standing tall in the harshest of conditions. They disregard freezing cold temperatures and scorching heat and are always there to protect you and me. There are also soldiers who have been brutally injured or handicapped by fighting for the country, and for each one of us. But these soldiers haven’t lost hope and still have stood in the forefront , fighting for us. One such soldier is Major General Ian Cardozo.

Major general Ian Cardozo was born on 7th August 1937 in Mumbai. He has fought many wars like Indo-Pakistan War of 1971 and the Battle of Sylhet. He has also won the Sena Medal and the Ati Vishisht Seva Medal .In 1971, during the time of war he was a young major with 5 Gorkha Rifles. In the Indo-Pakistan war , he stepped on a land-mine and injured his leg heavily. His leg had to be amputated, but due to various reasons the doctors failed in performing the surgery so he himself fetched a Gorkha knife and cut off his leg and shockingly asked the doctors to bury it. Cardozo wasn’t the least affected by this and went on to become the first handicapped soldier in the Indian army.

Once a wise man rightly said ,” Success is achieved by ordinary people with extraordinary determination.”The life of Ian Cardozo is a sole example of untanned determination and selfless love for one’s country. So, let us promise ourselves that once we set a goal, we will strive to achieve it through our hard work and determination and always think and work for the betterment of our society.

The meaning of the proverb ‘ Honesty is the best policy’ is that the best principle we can follow in our life is to be honest irrespective of what situation we are facing. It is also one of the important factor, which determines our success in life. Its the quality which earns us respect from others and helps us to build good relations based on trust.

Let me explain this with a simple story. Once upon a time there was a man who was searching for a job. One day, he was called for a job interview. When he got to the venue of the interview ,the person who was supposed to interview him  gave him some money to buy a particular item from a specific shop. The interviewer purposefully gave him extra cash and pretended that he do not know the exact cost of the item. The man received the money, went to the shop and bought the item.On his way back to the interview venue, he was thinking of what to do with the remaining money because he desperately needed money. Should he return it or pocket it? He also thought it would be difficult for the interviewer to have idea of what the price really was as he already mentioned that he don’t have a clear idea about the price. But finally  he made up his mind that he will return the interviewer’s money. When he got to the venue of the interview, he gave out the item with the remaining change. The interviewer counted the money and realized that the he has returned the full balance money. He then shook his hand and said congratulations, for this job honesty is important than any other thing..you are hired!

This story explains the importance of being honest and how such quality can be rewarding, one way or another. So friends, let us take a pledge today that we will be always honest  throughout our life.

A.P. J Abdul Kalam, the Ex-president of India once said. If you fail, never give up because F.A.I.L. means “first Attempt in Learning”. We all will agree that at some point of time in our lives we have tasted the bitterness of failures, rejections and disappointments. The famous words by A.PJ Abdul Kalam gives us the directions on how to face failures in life.

Just like two faces of the coin, success in life also comes with failures. In fact, there can be no success without failures. If we look at the life stories of great persons, they never reached the heights of success directly. Failure always ignites the beginning of a new phase. Let’s look at our childhood and see how we learned to walk. We must have crawled first and then tried to sit and then grabbed on to something in our attempt to stand. Can we remember how many time we have failed in our attempts? But we never stopped trying and finally succeeded. Life is also similar to this. We will learn new skills and adapt to new circumstances after the failure. Thomas Alwa Edison failed at least thousand times in making Electric Bulb but eventually succeeded. Can we imagine what would have happened if he got fed up on his 100th attempt and diverted his focus to something else? But each failure was an opportunity for him to improve his model and finally he mastered it. The great Abraham Lincoln lost eight elections before tasting success and Albert Einstein was once expelled from the school.

So friends, its perfectly OK to get failed. It’s not something to be afraid of. Accepting the failure is the first big step. We have to approach it honestly and also it’s important to take failures as an opportunity to analyze the cause and rectify it so that we can be successful next time. SO let’s face failures with a positive mind and consider it as a stepping stone to success
